A home-use test is not medical patch testing
The American Academy of Dermatology generally advises applying the normal amount to a small test spot twice daily for seven to ten days before adding a product to a routine. This can reveal an early response but cannot rule out every reaction. It is different from clinician-led patch testing used to investigate allergens.
Introduce one change at a time
Start one new product at a time so a possible trigger is easier to identify. Do not apply to broken, sunburned, actively inflamed or already irritated skin. If you have a skin condition or are receiving treatment, ask the clinician managing it before changing your routine.
Do not assume compatibility with other actives
